Volunteer Board Member - Finance (CPA)

Volunteer Board Member — Finance (CPA) Organization: Clinical Linguency Compensation: Unpaid volunteer position Utah-based organization (Provo-Orem area); virtual participation available Approximately 3–5 hours per month, including meetings. Additional startup work would be discussed in advance.

About Clinical Linguency Clinical Linguency is a developing nonprofit focused on improving the quality of volunteer medical interpreting in free clinics. We’re seeking a CPA to help establish a strong financial foundation and serve on our board.

Responsibilities

• Help develop budgets and review financial reports.
• Recommend  practical systems for tracking donations, expenses, and financial records.
• Help  establish financial policies and internal controls.
• Advise on  nonprofit accounting and reporting needs, including identifying outside accounting support when needed.
• Participate in board meetings, organizational planning, and governance decisions.

Any additional bookkeeping or tax-preparation services would be discussed separately.

Qualifications

• CPA  credential.
• Experience  with small nonprofits or nonprofit boards preferred.
• Interest  in improving healthcare access for patients facing language barriers,  including those from immigrant and minority communities.
