Tax Examining Technician
Key Duties You will perform various administrative and clerical tasks, including:
- Updating and maintaining work status and inventory records using automated systems.
- Identifying and reviewing tax forms (e.g., W-2s, 1040EZ) for specific criteria.
- Transcribing and verifying taxpayer-prepared returns and documents.
- Conducting research on delayed shipments and acknowledging correspondence.
- Timekeeping and maintaining personnel records.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Experience/Education:
- GS-04: 1 year of general experience OR 2 years of education above high school.
- GS-05: 1 year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-4) OR a Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of education above high school).
- Conditions: Must pass a background investigation (fingerprinting) and tax compliance verification.
