Join us for an overview of Utah's new H.B. 190 Child Care Business Tax Credit that takes effect in 2026 and how it works alongside the federal Employer-Provided Child Care Credit under IRC §45F. This session will explain which employers may qualify, the types of child care arrangements that generate credits, and recent changes that significantly increase the value of these incentives beginning in 2026.
Attendees will learn how direct contracts with child care providers, reserved child care slots, and employer-supported child care programs can create substantial federal and Utah tax benefits. The presentation will review practical examples of the financial impact for both small and large businesses, and discuss the documentation needed to support a credit claim.
The session is designed for CPAs, business owners, and advisors looking to identify planning opportunities, understand compliance requirements, and help employers evaluate strategies for supporting employees' child care needs while maximizing available tax incentives.
