As you may already know, the UACPA plays an important role in teaching financial literacy, investing in future CPAs and empowering new CPA professionals. What you might not know is that the UACPA also works with a lobbyist to ensure that the UACPA is the go-to resource for issues that impact the CPA profession. This important work is supported largely by generous donors who contribute to the Utah CPA Foundation and the Utah CPA PAC.

This year’s goal for funding the Utah CPA Foundation is $20,000, which will allow the Financial Literacy Committee to continue providing education to incarcerated men and women who are working towards freedom and financial independence. A portion of the funds also supports scholarships for students with aspirations of becoming a CPA.

The fundraising goal for the Utah CPA PAC is to raise $20,000, which will help with the re-introduction of HB235, seeking changes to the education and career path that professionals are required to obtain for state licensure. This fund also helps with recruiting political candidates with knowledge and support of our issues and creates improved access to elected officials who make and amend the laws and rules that CPAs must follow. Having a healthy PAC allows the UACPA to become a source of information before laws are proposed rather than defending or trying to defeat legislative or executive branch action.

In order to continue making a difference in the lives of individuals and support the needs of the profession, it is vital for both of this year’s campaigns to be a success.

Can we count on you to make a donation to these important causes?

The UACPA is depending on your assistance and generosity. To make a donation, visit and select which fund you would like your donation to go towards.

By making a donation to the Utah CPA Foundation (which is tax deductible) or the Utah CPA PAC, you will be directly contributing to issues important to the profession. Thank you for your consideration and continued support.
