Thoughts from Terri on Self-Care

Self-care is not an indulgence that gives us extra feelings of well-being. Rather, it’s the source of fuel to do day-to-day living.

Self-care needs to be at the top of your to-do list so you can do the rest of your to-do list.

Paying attention in our day to what gives us energy and what takes energy is a good place to start taking control of your power.

2 Quotes on Self-Care

“You can’t pour from an empty cup.” Anonymous

“It takes courage to say yes to rest and play in a culture where exhaustion is seen as a status symbol.”  Brene Brown

1 Self-Care Experiment

Check where are you on the self-care fuel gauge right now. Are you empty? Full? What are the signals when you’re low in self-care? How does it feel to have a full fuel tank of self-care? Try to check the gauge one or two times a day to watch how it fluctuates with your daily activities.
