Classes Start September 2010! Through a long-standing partnership with Utah State University, the UACPA offers a unique Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree focused on providing the strategic and critical thinking skills needed by professionals to excel in a rapidly changing business and management environment. Graduates will receive an MBA from an AACSB accredited program and are eligible to participate in graduation ceremonies on the USU campus in Logan after completion of the course work. Curriculum The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offered by the UACPA in association with Utah State University is accredited by the AACSB and offers working professionals the opportunity to pursue a graduate business degree. Using a variety of instructional techniques, USU faculty help class participants further develop technical, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills needed for a successful career in business. The curriculum will emphasize strategic thinking, decision-making skills, leadership and effective communication. The program takes six consecurtive semesters to finish the 33-credit hour program.
Adult Education for Adult Learners USU faculty is experienced in teaching adult learners who are part of the accounting, finance and business community. The advantages of this unique program are that you will be in courses with other professionals who have real-world experience. Faculty All classes are taught by full-time faculty of Utah State University, which is well known for its alliance MBA programs, taught throughout the state, region and internationally. Admission Requirements USU’s School of Graduate Studies requires a completed application, official transcripts from all institutions of higher education, three letters of recommendation, and results of either the GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test), GRE (Graduate Record Examination) or CPA Exam (submitted to the School of Graduate Studies by the appropriate state licensing board). The GMAT will be waived in lieu of proof of passage of the CPA Exam. Candidates are selected based on their GMAT or CPA scores, grade point average (GPA) for their last 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) of university course work, and letters of recommendation. Schedule Classes begin September 2010 and meet Friday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., and Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The curriculum is offered as one course every two months and long breaks are scheduled over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Students must maintain continuous enrollment to complete the program as scheduled. Tuition and Registration All Tuition is paid directly to USU. How to Apply USU utilizes an online application which is available at its School of Graduate Studies website. Location Class location to be determined. CPA Examination The MBA may be of assistance in qualifying to sit for the CPA exam. The degree, however, does not have a concentration in accounting. Depending upon the students's bachelors degree and the institution granting the degree, additional upper division accounting hours may be required.
