In order to provide clarity about the expectations and scope of any engagement, it is recommended practice for the CPA to provide an engagement letter to be signed by the client. This letter will help set the scope of services to be provided and indicate the level of attestation or work to be performed on behalf of the client. It is a good practice to have a discussion with any professional regarding the scope of services, expectations for product delivery, time frames for work to be conducted and fees associated with performing that work. |
