By performing these required audit steps in an automatic manner, auditors may fail to identify potential fraud risk factors which may lead to an unidentified misstatement in the financial statements. This course will identify various fraudulent transactions that occur in both large and small organizations that range from large embezzlement schemes to everyday activities that may be overlooked. By discussing various fraudulent activities, auditors will obtain a better understanding of the risks to the financial statements as well as, potential opportunities to mitigate those risks.
