Legislative and Regulatory Affairs

UACPA's legislative efforts in Utah have helped keep federal accounting reforms from "cascading" down to the state level and defeated a proposal to add a sales tax on tax and consulting services. We were also instrumental in passing CPA Mobility, providing CPAs easier access to their clients in other states. We continue to be the most effective voice for Utah CPAs in Utah and Washington D.C.

Student Recruitment

Accounting program enrollments are up! UACPA members are actively involved with Utah’s K-12 classrooms and accounting and business teachers. Perhaps our greatest success in student recruitment is through our work on college campuses in Utah where we have introduced or recruited over 900 student members that we are actively educating about the profession. That means a growing pool of future professionals.

Your identity as a CPA differentiates you from the pack and is key to the added value you provide businesses and individuals. To promote understanding of that value, the UACPA works with print and broadcast media throughout the state to keep Utahans informed of the importance of the CPA in the business world and community at large.

UACPA members pay $100 less per day on average for UACPA courses than non-members. Our seminars and conferences are led by high quality instructors from around the country and right here at home. We have a well rounded catalog of courses and delivery methods to meet your individual needs
